Health Data Literacy Workshop
Data literacy is the ability to derive meaningful information from data and is essential for Iowa’s communities and residents to make educated and wise decisions on critical issues and policies. Join presenter Sandra Burke, ISU Extension and Outreach Assistant Scientist III, to learn knowledge and skills to understand, use, interpret, and practice with health and other data relevant to Boone County.
Workshop will focus on ISU’s Health Data for Decision Makers for Boone County, data on food insecurity, income and poverty measures, youth, and a variety of other data and issues. The session will include active participation and discussion on understanding data and how to use it.
There is no charge to participants for this session. Funding support is from ISU’s U-TuRN project.
